North American Resorts

Snowbasin

If you’re in Utah and want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Salt Lake City then you can still enjoy incredible skiing and snowboarding. Or, if you’re staying in Salt Lake City and want to avoid traffic snaking to the resorts in Big Cottonwood canyon then Snowbasin is a great choice since it’s an easy day trip from the city.

Although Snowbasin doesn’t have the same elevation as other resorts in the area, it has incredible terrain, plenty of snow, and its location helps it keep its lift lines short and slopes uncrowded.

Sun Valley

If you’re road tripping between resorts or just want to visit somewhere new and without too many people on the slopes, then Idaho’s Sun Valley is an excellent choice.

Sun Valley was originally established as a getaway within the beautiful Idaho mountains, and since then a town and incredible community has grown at the base of the mountain. On top of that, great terrain has been developed and made accessible by fast lifts that cover two different mountains!

International Resorts

Panorama

Head north to Panorama in British Columbia to enjoy nearly 3,000 acres of terrain!

Lotte Aria

Love deep snow, mellow terrain with plenty of fun tree runs, and a reason to go to Japan?

If you said yes then you should check out Lotte Aria!

Lotte Aria is located within a day’s drive of Tokyo which makes it an easy place to access and travel from once you’ve had enough skiing and snowboarding. On top of that, the resort is home to plenty of gentle terrain and deep powder so that anyone can enjoy skiing and snowboarding there!

Chamonix

Even though Chamonix is in France, it may be one of the largest additions to the Ikon for passholders ever.

Not only is Chamonix massive since it consists of a few different resorts under one banner, but it’s also home to technical and steep terrain where you can push your skiing or snowboarding. On top of that it’s home to legendary mountaineering and climbing and a town that embraces athletes from all over the world.

If you’re an old-school skier or snowboarder, then add Chamonix to your list of places to ride. You won’t regret seeing the peaks and culture in the area, and you just might find you new favorite place to ride!
