If you make the 10-minute drive from Mammoth Lakes to Convict Lake, then you will be rewarded with some of the finest food and views in the entire region. Like The Lakefront Restaurant, The Restaurant at Convict Lake is part of a historic resort which makes it extra convenient for guests. Still, the thing that draws people from all over the region is the fine food and scenic views of Convict Lake and the surrounding mountains. Eleven53 Café is located on Mammoth Mountain’s summit at 11,053 feet and is accessible by the Panorama Gondola. Although Eleven53 Café is open for lunch only and serves food in a food court style dining room, the view from the top is just as spectacular as you’d imagine.
