Motel 6 Mammoth Lakes

Like the other Motels on this list, the Mammoth Lakes Motel 6 offers an affordable but reliable place to stay with plenty of access to restaurants, stores, and outdoor experiences.

Although you will most likely want to use the free public transit to get to the Village and the Village Gondola from the Motel 6, there are plenty of options within walking distance of the motel. In fact, just across the street you’ll find Shea Schat’s Bakery, Black Velvet Coffee, The Public House, and Liberty Sports Bar and Grill. Along with the dining options and access to the mountain, the Motel 6 also allows pets stay for free!

Located within the same area as the Motel 6, the Best Western Plus High Sierra offers the same access to the mountain and many Mammoth Lakes restaurants and attractions.

Quality Inn Mammoth

Like the other Motels on this list, Mammoth Lakes’ Quality Inn is located within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops, plus bus stops for transportation to Mammoth Mountain.

Although the Quality Inn may not offer some of the amenities you would find in the resorts, all the necessities are here along with an underground parking structure that keeps guests from having to dig their cars out from snow. The Quality Inn does not allow pets in any of their rooms, but they do offer a free breakfast and their rooms are a great size for the price and location.
