1. Summit Sunset Party

If you miss the Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross, which runs from June 16th through 26th at Mammoth, you can always plan a visit here for the Summit Sunset Party. It’s a truly unique and relaxing experience that involves amazing views and a comfortable ride to the top of the mountain in the gondola. Once you ride to the top, you’ll be treated to live DJ music as you absorb yourself in the stunning view while the sun sets. Tickets are required.

When: Saturday, July 2nd from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

2. 4th of July Fun

Mammoth’s Independence Day fun in 2022 will be coupled with events taking place in nearby Mammoth Lakes. You can easily check out what’s happening in town by taking the free shuttles that run from all the base lodges. The big event in Mammoth Lakes will be the 4th of July Parade, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It starts at the intersection of Chateau Road and Old Mammoth Road. At Mammoth, on-site activities typically take place at the Village Plaza.

When: Monday, July 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

3. Mammoth JazzFest

If you’re a fan of jazz, you’ll have a great time during this festival, which is free for all Mammoth Mountain visitors. If you come on July 15th, there’s also a wine walk planned as part of the event that will feature samples of wines from various vineyards throughout the region. An assortment of jazz genres, including fusion, will be featured during the festival this year.

When: July 15th and 16th from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

4. Mammoth Reggae Festival

Just pack some blankets as you get ready for your summer visit to Mammoth, and you’ll be all set for the resort’s annual Reggae Festival. In addition to classic reggae beats from a dozen bands, this free, all-ages event will include tasty treats, unique finds and mementos from local art vendors, and ice-cold brews for the grown-ups.

When: July 22nd to 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

5. Mammoth VillageFest

If there’s one summer event that truly defines Mammoth Mountain, it’s the annual VillageFest. The highlight is often referred to throughout the area as the “world’s highest rib and chili cook-off.” Additional VillageFest features and amenities planned for this year include:

• An assortment of crafts available for purchase
• An on-site beer garden

When: Friday, July 29th from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
