We’ve all hear the saying “When in Rome, do as the Romans,” and the same applies to Mammoth Lakes. The only problem is that thanks to the incredible natural scenery and outdoor activities provided by the Eastern Sierras, Mammoth locals like to do everything outside.
If you came to vacation in Mammoth Lakes, that means you may have to find a way to relax outside. Fortunately for you, we’ve taken the first step and put together a quick guide to Mammoth Lakes bars with outdoor seating so you can relax and enjoy Mammoth Lakes like the locals do. Check out our list below and enjoy a drink in the mountain air for us!
Nevados
Although Nevados is known around town for their upscale food, if all you need is a glass of wine or mixed drink then you’ll find everything you need and more here. You’ll catch a glimpse of Nevados’ diverse dining menu from the limited food offered on their bar menu, but their extensive wine list is sure to grab your attention if you came for a drink. Nevados offers reds, whites, and champagne along with cocktails and of course, they have an outdoor patio that is perfect for warm Mammoth Lakes’ nights.

The Lounge at Mammoth Rock N Bowl
If you’re looking for a relaxing place to enjoy a drink, then a bowling alley might sound like a bad choice, but Mammoth Rock N Bowl isn’t your average bowling alley.
With the bowling alley and other games, like the virtual golf simulator, located on the lower floors and the restaurant and lounge up above, there is a clear separation from the games and the serious dining. If you’re looking for a drink, the lounge offers handcrafted cocktails, draft and bottled beer, wine, and several creative takes on a Moscow Mule. Plus, Mammoth Rock N Bowl has one of the best views in Mammoth Lakes with the perfect patio to enjoy it on.
53 Kitchen & Cocktails
Although 53 Kitchen & Cocktails’ outdoor patio is small, the convenient village location, beer, and handcrafted cocktails make it a safe bet for Mammoth Lakes visitors.
When you visit 53 Kitchen & Cocktails, you’ll quickly notice the lounge and bar seating that make it a great place to meet for drinks. If you’re hungry too, then they also offer a lounge menu that has perfect appetizer, burgers, and sandwiches. If you try an appetizer and decide you want a full meal, 53 Kitchen & Cocktail also offers a full dining menu with more options to finish your visit.
The Yodler
For another bar with outdoor seating close to Mammoth Mountain, visit the Yodler.
The Yodler is located just beside Main Lodge, Mammoth Mountain Inn, and all the activities in the area, making it the perfect place to visit all year long. The Yodler is a Bavarian themed restaurant, meaning you can bet on a great beer selection and delicious food, perfect after a long day on the mountain. If you’ve been enjoying Mammoth Mountain all day, or you just want to appreciate an excellent view of the mountain, then sit out on The Yodler’s outdoor patio!
Rafters
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the village, then head into Mammoth Lakes to Rafters Restaurant & Lounge.
Rafters has been in Mammoth Lakes for decades thanks to their central location and larger dining space and bar, but recently the restaurant was renovated along with the menu resulting in a great mix of modern flavors, drinks, and décor and classic Mammoth hospitality and warmth. During summer, you’ll find great outdoor seating to enjoy Rafter’s beers, wines, and cocktails.
